Vocabulary
Nautical Mile 1 Nautical Mile is equal to 1.151 Statute Miles. ("Statute mile" is what we know as miles and is a measurement of distance over land. "Nautical mile" is a measurement over water.)
League A league is distance of 3 nautical miles.
Knot If you're traveling at 1 knot, it means you're moving at a speed of 1 nautical mile per hour.
Fathom A Fathom is six feet deep.
